the formal introduction , CLICK HERE FOR A SNAPSHOT OF THE GIRL BEHIND THE MONITOR. So I figured I should kick this board off with the first introduction. I don't know why though, I'm usually terrible at these things.
What's to tell? You can call me Jewel to start - it's my primary alias. I've used others in the past but this one just seemed to stick. I'm a Gemini which is usually pretty evident when you first get to know me, since my emotions tend to be all over the place. One minute I can be playful and silly and the next minute become quiet and pensive. I'm twenty-three years old and live in central Ontario, Canada with my boyfriend and our two adorable rabbits. We've been together for just about a year and a half now and recently moved into our own apartment. I'm loving the independence so far, but I never really acknowledged how much self-discipline one needs to keep everything clean and tidy.
As for my personal interests, I'm very much into fashion and interior design. Writing is my precious hobby and allows me to escape at the end of a long day. I've never actually written a book, but roleplaying is a valuable outlet of mine. My favourite genres include Medieval Fantasy and various fandoms. I've watched a lot of anime, so I tend to generate ideas based on them. I love to read but it seems I never have enough time to, and am currently into a novel titled 'Shogun' by James Clavell. Japanese culture fascinates me, and my dream is to travel to both Tokyo and New Zealand someday. I'm obsessed with cute things, ESPECIALLY if they're chubby and small. And I could definitely be classified as a video game nerd.
Anyway, nice to meet you all! If you want any further information or just feel like chatting and plotting .. don't be afraid to send me a PM! Peace.

Hello, Jewel! I'm glad you started off the intros. :3 I would have but I wasn't sure what to write. First of all, you're a pretty gal. :'D Twenty-three? I feel like I'm probably the youngest on here, haha. I'm sure I also underestimate the effort it takes to keep up one's own place, but I imagine it must be fun experiencing that kind of independence. With rabbits. I've never had one, but they're adorable. <3 What are their names? You live in Ontario? That's awesome. X3 My long distance boyfriend lives near there; therefore, I hope to venture to Canada sometime...hopefully soon. And so you also have a desire to visit New Zealand?! There is something about that country I find intriguing, whatever it may be. Do you have any favourite video games? :3 Oh, but it was a pleasure to meet you too, Jewel. I hope you stick with us for a long time to come. x3

First of all, thank you for the compliment! I figure it puts some people at ease when they know exactly who it is they're writing with. And yes, I just turned twenty-three last week actually. As a birthday present, my boyfriend took me horseback riding for the first time. It was amazing! You have a long-distance relationship? I hear it takes a lot of faith and patience to maintain something like that. But the way I see it, is that the two people must really care for one another if they're willing to carry on dating despite having such a stretch between them. Do you get to see him often, if at all?
And yes, my rabbits are rather adorable. Their names are Cloud and Locke, both after Final Fantasy characters (because my boyfriend is a nerd as well). Haha. I have a picture of Cloud, but since Locke is so timid I haven't taken one of him yet. HERE is my baby! I figure he kind of looks like a cloud regardless. Anyway, Canada is a great place to live. I hope you're able to make it here! Even if it's just for a short stay.
I just find New Zealand to be exceptionally beautiful. And the people are apparently really, really friendly. As for favourite video games, my top three at least would probably include Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Legend of Mana and the Dragon Age franchise. Although I'm kind of obsessed with the Harvest Moon games too.

You're welcome~ ^^ I always form appearances of people in my head from how they write, but it's definitely much nicer to know what someone actually looks like. Horse-backing riding would be so fun! That was quite sweet of him to take you. And yes, it definitely takes a lot of faith and patience. But like you said, two people have to really care for one another to stay together despite the distance. So the faith and patience isn't hard to have. :3 We haven't been together for too long--about 5 months. So I haven't seen him in person yet. We've spoken over the phone, and soon he's getting a new laptop, and hopefully then we can use a webcam to talk. x3
Oh my gosh. ;__; He is one of the most adorable critters ever. xD Nyaa, he looks so fragile and cute. <3 And those blue eyes are pretty. Is Locke a white rabbit, too? Oh, and thank you very much. I hope so as well!
I never got into Zelda much, simply because I never tried them out, but a lot of people are quite fond of them. xD Oh, and Dragon Age is one of my dad's favourite games. |D I've seen him play it and heard him talk about it; it sounds like a really good game. I started the Island of Happiness Harvest Moon game, but I have a terrible habit of starting things like books and games and never getting far into them. xD

Ah, well I'm glad the situation is working out for you and your boyfriend. Hopefully it'll make things a lot easier once you're actually able to speak and see one another. Haha. I don't know what I'd do if I had to spend any prolonged period of time away from my boyfriend. He keeps me sane and I can never sleep fitfully unless I feel him all cuddled up next to me. <3 And horseback riding was amazing! It's not a hobby of mine or anything, but I love horses so I mentioned a long time ago that it might be a fun thing to do. And since one of his friends is a teacher, she let me have a private lesson for free! At first it was terrifying because horses are so large, but they're so gentle and obedient that you can can't but feel relaxed after the first few minutes.
Haha, yes I love my bunnies. Locke is a brown rabbit. Unfortunately I think he was mistreated by his previous owners so it's taking a long time for him to trust humans again. But we're doing our best and he's slowly coming around.
I don't like all of the Zelda games, and have only actually played a few. I guess I just found that OOT had the best storyline. Dragon Age is so fun! I love games that offer such complex character interaction. And the fact that you're able to fully customize your character's appearance really helps you get into it and feel more attached. And Harvest Moon is just a guilty pleasure really. I play a few of them on and off but never get too far with them either. They're just a relaxing way to pass time when I'm bored. What games do you like?

Wow, long intro. *doesn't even usually bother cause he sticks to the c-box* Anyway, you are very pretty. And gaming is fun. We should totally talk about that stuff. *hardcore gamer/otaku*
Twenty-three... Makes you at least older than me. I dunno how old everyone else is, I was expecting to be the oldest, like I always am XD (Note that the age of Hotaru is not even close, as I give my characters their own birthday. Yes, I am lame like that >>)
Anyway... New Zealand would be cool. Personally I want to go to Kyoto because of all the history. And I love old weapons, specifically katana and jian (chinese sword).
Rabbits are cute. I much prefer dogs myself, but everyone's different. My family has many animals (rabbits at one time) but now it's a bunch of dogs, a couple of cats and a litter of Degu (mini-chinchillas). Those will disappear once I move in with my girlfriend and am stuck with birds XD
*contemplates repeating all of this in his intro* Anyway~ Nice to meet'cha~

:3 I was thinking that it would be scary, too. XD Being on top of such a big anime that pretty much had control of where you went...but I hear that they're great animals, too. I don't doubt that it was a lot of fun. XD Aww, you think he was mistreated? That's a shame, but I'm glad he's in a good home now. I love it when mistreated animals later get into a better home. :'D I can't see how people could just hurt and abuse another creature. >__> That's the stuff my dad mentioned liking about Dragon Age, too. He finished the second game in only a matter of days. XD And Harvest Moon was a really cute games when I was playing it. X3 As for games I like, hmm. I was playing Persona for a while and it wasn't that bad, so I need to pick up where I left off. I was always a huge Kingdom Hearts fanatic though, lemme tell ya. XD I love Disney, too, so it worked out. <3 I've also spent many hours playing Pokemon games. Haha, they never get old for me. And from this site my interest in Lost in Blue--an insland survival game--has also came about. I played the second game a while back, so now I started up the third. X3 I'm not a hardcore gamer, but when there's something I like, I'm all over it~
